Hans Sander performed his first classical concert at the early age of six.  His father had to lift him onto the piano bench as his feet could not reach the floor.  Even though he studied classical piano as a young boy in his hometown of Celle, Germany, it was during his teen years that Hans discovered another interest in music - dance music.  Since then he has played not only piano, but keyboard, accordion, flute, clarinet, and saxophone in dance bands both in Germany and in the United States.

Hans has made his home in Louisville since he immigrated to America in 1973.  By profession he is a piano tuner/technician and owns and operates “Louisville Piano Tuner”, formerly known as Sander Piano Service.  He is married to a native Louisvillian and has two daughters.
